About The Show
GAWD v. The People is an interactive immersive show that places humanity on trial, made by creative technology studio nilor.
Guided by GAWD, an AI judge investigating the fate of the planet, audiences will witness arguments and testimonies as the case unfolds. Each performance is created in the moment, with AI characters responding live to audience testimony and interactions. With no fixed script and no predetermined outcome, every trial unfolds differently.
Following its official selection for the Immersive Competition at Cannes 2026, Lightroom’s presentation marks the world public premiere of GAWD v. The People and its first presentation outside of festivals.
What You’ll See
Lightroom’s fully projected 11-metre tall walls and vast open floor become the setting for an extraordinary courtroom unlike any other. Combining immersive visuals, live performance and responsive AI technology, GAWD v. The People transforms the space into a world where humans and machines come together and decide the fate of humanity.
Three audience members will have the chance to take the stand and testify on behalf of humanity, while AI-generated witness characters will argue against them. Every decision, response and interaction helps shape the unfolding narrative, influencing the AI model and the final judgement.
What You’ll Hear
Blending humour, debate and thought-provoking ideas, the experience invites audiences to consider our relationship with artificial intelligence and the choices that will shape our collective future.
