Salary: £70, 000 – 80, 000 per annum dependent on experience

ABOUT LIGHTROOM
Lightroom is a permanent projection-based arts venue which opened in Kings Cross, London in February 2023.
Lightroom reimagines immersive experiences through groundbreaking collaborations with leading artistic talents across art, music, film, fashion, science, and more. A joint venture between 59 Studio and London Theatre Company, Lightroom is led by CEO Richard Slaney and backed by investors led by Sir Leonard Blavatnik, who is represented by Danny Cohen, President of Access Entertainment and Mike Sherwood, former co-CEO of Goldman Sachs International. Lightroom’s innovative show space in London, King’s Cross was designed by 59 Studio in collaboration with Haworth Tompkins.
Lightroom’s shows are currently playing in venues across South Korea, China and the USA; in May 2025 Lightroom announced a major new partnership with Culturespaces which will see Lightroom shows presented across Culturespaces’ network of European venues. Lightroom’s critically acclaimed shows include David Hockney: Bigger & Closer, The Moonwalkers: A Journey with Tom Hanks, and Vogue: Inventing the Runway, and Prehistoric Planet: Discovering Dinosaurs created in collaboration with Apple TV.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for a highly experienced and effective Senior Producer to deliver new shows for Lightroom during a dynamic stage of growth and as we further innovate with the form of Lightroom experiences. The person will drive the projects day to day and have a 360-degree role across all areas of producing, from early stage concept and script development through to opening, overseeing budgeting, scheduling and creative production.
You’ll deliver creative and commercial excellence in a fast-moving and evolving sector, marrying an understanding of the production process and an appetite to make work with broad appeal for a wide range of audiences. You will combine a passion for great storytelling with a love of getting things done. You will have an understanding of rights, the ability to manage complex stakeholders and to enable production teams and creatives to achieve work at the highest level. Because the role requires close working relationships with our core London team, it is expected that you will be based on site within our London home with occasional travel in the UK and overseas as required by the scope of production.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead creative production process and project delivery day to day, overseeing
- Show development
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Rights clearances and content licensing
- Production scheduling
- Line producing of required show elements, where appropriate
- Contracting and negotiating creative team members such as sound designers, composers, music supervisors etc.
- Acting as the key liaison between Lightroom, 59 Studio and other creative team members, managing overall production process and ensuring creative milestones and deliverables are met.
- In collaboration with the Executive Producer, support
- Idea generation of new slate development, assessment of new projects and long-term planning
- Early-stage concept and script development on productions
- IP and talent negotiations, supporting budgeting, forecasting and building business cases and/or royalty deal structures in conjunction with Finance Director and Director of Marketing
- Creative show development and exploration of new technology and innovation with the Lightroom format
- Ongoing production relationships with IP/creative partners/key stakeholders.
- Lead on show coordination with the wider organisation, supporting Lightroom’s marketing and operational teams on all integration with show-making; ensure creative production meets marketing, press, operational/front of house and merchandise needs and timelines.
- Manage Lightroom’s Producer who works for Lightroom full time and additional freelance staff attached to individual productions.
- Work closely with Lightroom’s Business Affairs Manager to ensure international licensing and IP contractual obligations are synchronous, setting up projects from the outset for international expansion.
- Support Touring Producer with adaptation of shows for international distribution.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Significant experience producing complex creative projects in relevant sectors (film, theatre, digital/tech, immersive), working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with high-level stakeholders and/or brands and top-tier talent.
- Knowledge of rights clearance and experience of negotiations and licensing.
- Highly collaborative and able to work well with diverse teams and disciplines to lead a creative production process.
- Execution-oriented and “own it” mentality that means that you can work autonomously and be trusted to deliver excellence wherever you are.
- Structured working method that means you can keep track of multiple projects in a start-up environment.
- Numerate and commercially minded with strong skills to budget, forecast and build spreadsheets.
- A creative thinker with a keen understanding of audiences, and always looking for how to best guide and deliver projects through the production process
- A talent for building strong working relationships quickly with multiple stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong administrative and project management skills.
- Flexible approach where you’re comfortable to set your working hours to accomplish your goals, including international travel at short notice and work commitments at evenings and weekends (e.g. events or client dinners).
- Passion for arts, culture and creativity.
