Head of Ticketing
Salary: £43k annum dependent on experience
Terms: Full time permanent contract
Hours: 40 hours average working week, some weekend work may be required.
Holiday: 28 days (including 8 bank holidays) per annum pro rata

A joint venture between 59 Studio and London Theatre Company, Lightroom was founded in 2023 by Nick Starr CBE and its current CEO, Richard Slaney. Lightroom’s innovative show space in London, King’s Cross was designed by 59 Studio in collaboration with Haworth Tompkins.
Lightroom’s shows are currently playing in cities across Europe via a major new partnership with French company Culturespaces which sees Lightroom shows presented across Culturespaces’ network of European venues. Touring shows are also playing in South Korea, China and the United States.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Lightroom seeks a strategic and commercially astute Head of Ticketing to drive operations and revenue growth. You will oversee the ticketing team and CRM system, working closely with the marketing and leadership team on sales strategies. The ideal candidate possesses expert CRM knowledge, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the skill to analyse complex datasets to inform business decisions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CRM, Technology, and Finance
- Serve as the primary owner of the CRM system, maintaining data integrity and acting as the lead contact for the CRM account team.
- Manage dynamic pricing, promotions, and inventory to maximise attendance and revenue.
- Oversee the setup of events in the CRM, ensuring data accuracy across all booking types.
- Manage internal and external reporting; regularly review system performance and research alternative technology options.
- Perform financial reconciliation of ticket sales and maintain all auditing procedures.
- Oversee ticketing hardware (printers, scanners, PDQs) and software integrations such as CrowdEngage.
Team and Policy Management
- Line manage the Ticketing Manager and oversee the wider team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Act as the lead representative for the ticketing department in all internal and external meetings.
- Ensure all customer communications are seamless and manage escalated complaints or dispute resolutions.
- Update and communicate ticketing policies, ensuring strict adherence to the latest Data Protection legislation.
Sales Strategy and Market Trends
- Lead sales strategies for access, schools, and group sales, while managing relationships with external agencies and affiliates.
- Work with the marketing team to inform campaigns and sales-led promotions.
- Proactively identify sales opportunities by reviewing patterns and tracking industry trends or emerging technologies.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Passion: A genuine interest in arts, live events, culture, galleries, or attractions.
- Technical Skills: High-level proficiency in Spektrix (or similar systems) and competent knowledge of Excel.
- Experience: Proven track record in team management, customer service, and managing external ticketing agencies.
- Attributes: Highly organised, analytical, and calm under pressure.
- Communication: An articulate, proactive communicator capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Work Ethic: A reliable team player who is happy to be hands-on and work independently.
